Anh has a toothache (the story that started it all). Christine & Anh cannot believe how hard it is to find the nearest, best-rated dentist open on Monday.

All of 2014

Christine & Anh set out to digitize small businesses to make them easier to find online.

Fall 2014

Founders register Ecommerceengines.com → the cheapest domain name they could find (no, seriously). “E-Commerce and Engine” resonated with what the company would be all about.

December 29, 2014

E-Commerce Engine is officially incorporated in the attic of Anh’s parents’ home.

2015 & 2016

E-Commerce Engine 1.0 a mobile app to help everyone find the cheapest, nearest, or best-rated local business. Two-sided marketplaces are hard, if you don’t have an endless marketing budget.

2017

E-Commerce Engine 2.0 the initial website and marketing product for local service businesses. E-Commerce Engine becomes one of the first whitelisting partners for Google My Business.

2021

E-Commerce Engine 3.0 broadened E-Commerce Engine to serve e-commerce businesses. Launched integrations with Google and Facebook early in the pandemic to grow our customers’ reach.

2022

E-Commerce Engine 4.0 levelled up E-Commerce Engine with the Concierge Service and the Growth Plan that gave all business owners access to ongoing expert help.
